Introduction

Ideally, I'd like to write a book. I'm not sure if that's sad, that my dating exploits could fill up an entire book - it probably is. But as they have provided my friends many a giggle over the past few months, and will probably continue to do so in the near future - we will start as a blog. Perhaps one day, when I am done with this search - I will be able to publish a fascinating short story collection of all the horrendous pitfalls that await some body who has no time to search for love.

Ironic I know that this blog is title a City Search for Love. It should possibly read as Dating in the Ciy - but that sounds like an internet dating site and although I would welcome the hits from Google that that would raise, somehow its not the feel I am going for.

So who am I? I am a City Banker in London working for an Investment Bank (funnily enough). I'm 26 years old and began work 6 months ago. I had just come out of a 3 year relationship to fall into a 9 month nightmare of a relationship which was winding down as I began the job. Like a fish out of water, I initially struggled against this new found feeling of 'no man in my life' searching for a suitable replacement.

Here is the story of my search - and the transformation that came with it.
